“Letter of Recommendation

I hired Ed McNelia and his company, San Diego Remodel Works, to take on two projects in my newly purchased townhome in Carlsbad. My experience with Ed was very positive and I would recommend him without hesitation. Ed makes one thing very clear when he works with you: He wants you to be happy with the end result and he will do whatever it takes to ensure that outcome. That may sound like a cliché but we repeatedly witnessed him living up to that expectation. He stayed on schedule and made sure the work site was clean and orderly at all times. While most the work was very well done, in our case a carpenter did a fairly poor job of putting the trim around the glass door to the bathroom. Never defensive, Ed agreed with our assessment of the work and took it upon himself to come out the following day, tear out the old work and redo all the trim himself. The result was simply excellent. We are so happy with the improvements to our home, thanks to Ed and San Diego Remodel Works. We felt Ed’s bid was fair and were further impressed that he never varied from that bid. There were no add-ons or unexpected charges. Every step of the process was transparent. Ed is talented, driven, respectful and honest…and really great to deal with. He earned our trust and we would use him again.

“The work was done quickly, faster than I expected

We hired San Diego Remodel Works to replace disintegrating stone around the sides of our jacuzzi, replace some cracked stone on the pool deck, and replace some carpet with stone in our home.
Ed McNelia was easy to communicate with and clearly wanted to see that our desires were met. He did a great job of monitoring the work and ensuring that everything was done professionally and correctly. The men that did the work showed great attention to detail. I mentioned that I preferred stones of different color to be placed randomly, they placed them with care to do just that. They sealed the stone without my requesting it (historically I’ve had to seal stone myself).
The work was done quickly, faster than I expected, and the quoted price was quite reasonable. I can with confidence recommend Ed’s company for home remodeling.
